What is more fun than shoe shopping with your BFF? For ladies like me and my BFF, Kim—who can shop till you drop, shoes are the most important part of your outfit. Comfortable sandals or wedges are a must on an all day Shopping Saturday.

Painters White

I’ve just finished my latest project—painting my bedroom furniture, frames, and artwork in white chalk paint. It’s looking good and has inspired me to wear all white today, because I’m a painter and that’s what you wear.

OUTFIT Head to toe white can be tricky. Start with white jeans and a tee as your base. Add texture with a white necklace. This blazer is great because it adds structure and shape. I went with a nude shoes, but if you have white that works too.

Turquoise Treasure

This turquoise necklace was a birthday gift from a dear friend. She loves the color and it makes me think of her when I wear it—a treasure I will keep for many years.

OUTFIT Turquoise jewelry really pops when you wear black. To highlight this long necklace, I went head to toe black + it’s really slimming.

Cruella De Vil

Inspired by the beloved villain, Cruella De Vil, this look is chic and stylish. A  spoiled, moody woman with a lack of self-control: If she doesn't scare you, no evil thing will. LOL. *evil laugh*

OUTFIT Cruella did one thing right: black & white, which mixes perfectly with a flamboyant printed purse to bring it all together.

Be Still

Maxi dresses are a must-have for Summer. I love the easy breezy feel of this one. Just slip on some sandals and head out the door.  

OUTFIT My mom and sisters gave me this necklace. The tiny dot in the middle represents me, the three fishes that surround the dot represents the TRINITY - Father, Son, and Spirit. I am surrounded by love. I can look at this necklace and remind myself to be still and know that God’s love and presents surrounds me and that I am in the center of rest.

Fashionable... at any age

“Mama” as her friends call her, is a remarkable woman. At 90 years of age, she has wisdom, experience, and oodles of fashion sense. She stays current with new trends—even her walking cane is a pattern of colorful butterflies. Take notes ladies, Mama Maxine can teach us a thing or two.

OUTFIT This turquoise Indian tunic with gold stars looks Bollywood - very pretty. The patterned palazzo pants are trending now and go perfectly with this top. You can find them at almost any boutique or major department store this Summer. Mama looks so stylish and beautiful... she always does.

Coral Reef

Summer is here and it’s time to start thinking about that beach trip. Tie front tops are popping up everywhere. They have a very laid back beach feel. You can get this look by tying a button up shirt together in the front.

OUTFIT I’m loving this coral tie front top my mother-in-law got me. She is such a savvy shopper. It is made with extra fabric to tie in the front. Looks great with some dark capris and wedges  for Summertime.
