Puff Vest

A puff vest is a great piece for Winter. It keeps you warm without adding bulk. This one in taupe is a great buy. It goes with so many things and you can even belt it!

OUTFIT Winter white is a trend that I love. It looks fresh and crisp with this vest. Winter boots are a must and this pair are super comfortable and have great traction for wet snow and ice.

Stylebook App

I just found this great app that helps you organize your closet. It’s called Stylebook and I discovered it from a fellow fashion blogger...check her out here... PuttingMeTogether.com

Stylebook makes it super easy to take photos of your wardrobe, drop out the background, and mix & match items to make new outfits! It can even keep track of how often you wear items and cost per wear. I’m loving it!

My Favorite Things

So I took some of my favorite pieces that I enjoying wearing and did something crazy. Wear them all at the same time and make it work.

OUTFIT 1. leggings (elastic waist, need I say more) 2. button down (can dress this up or down) 3. cowgirl boots (my country roots) 4. military style jacket (instant structure) The nutral color palette works together and by adding this tourquiose rock necklace it ties the boots in as well.

Infinity Scarf

It goes on forever and you can wrap it around twice. An infinity scarf is like a winter statement necklace. It’s big, bold, and keeps you warm. I love this one I got from a friend over Christmas.

OUTFIT When temperatures drop keep warm without adding bulk with a puff vest. Layer it over a sweater and scarf. Keep your clothes neutral and your scarf bright.

Red Peacoat

A bright peacoat can cheer up a gloomy winter day. I love wearing my red one. It’s a classic that will never go out of style. I’ve had mine for over 10 years!

OUTFIT Go all winter white with a cream sweater, jeans and gloves. Tall boots and my red coat look great with a scarf that ties it all together. I’m staying warm today.

Fashionable Phone

I’m notorious for carrying an outdated phone. In college I was sporting a huge flip phone, when everyone else had new small phones. I’m fine with carrying a dinosaur in my purse—so it may come as a surprise to many of you that I’ve updated my phone!

OUTFIT When it came to purchasing my new phone, I chose the case first, phone second. I wanted something cute and yellow, but when I saw this Kate Spade Leopard Print iPhone 6 case - my yellow idea was out the door and I never gave it a second though. I’m such a sucker for leopard print. It looks super cute with a bright pop of pink, sweatpants and leopard running shoes.

Let it Snow!

This morning it was 12 degrees. If it’s going to be this cold, it might as well snow. Then it would be cold & beautiful. I’m ready for the cold and snow, if it should happen to fall.

OUTFIT I layered a sweater over my button down and added a toboggan. These duck boots are perfect with some gray leg warmers. A little bling brooch to my toboggan makes it fancy.

Winter Dress

This black & gray striped dress features front pockets. I love details like this in a dress! It is really made for Summer, but I found a way to wear it during Winter.

OUTFIT Although the dress itself is not warm, I’m still warm and toasty. All the warmth comes from my fleece lined leggings, boots, and turtleneck.

Spirit Shirt

Spirit Shirts are popping up everywhere. I got this one from my sister for Christmas. They are long and oversized with your teams name across the back shoulders.

OUTFIT Wear leggings with your spirit shirt to help balance out the big bulky shirt on top. Today I’m sporting my duck boots that are also really hot right now—lumberjack trend. Plus its really rainy and wet outside.

Less is More

Do Less, Enjoy More. This is my New Year’s Resolution for 2015. I will be applying this motto in several areas of my life. Less Spending, Less Blogging, Less Doing = More Money, More Quality Time, More Energy.

OUTFIT Just the basics here. Black leggings with a bold black and white sweater. A classic trench and red sneakers to set it all off. Sometimes simpler is better.

Happy New Year

Running is how Im staying fit in 2015. Dressing the part may not make me any faster, but I feel faster. Check out these kicks — black leopard Nikes with pink details. They are super reflective and lots of cushion for running. Nike Pegasus have a bigger toe box, which is great for my wide foot.

OUTFIT Nike running capris are my choice over the leggings. Being petite, the leggings are too long and bunch up around my ankles. A dry fit top pulls sweat away from your body and drys faster. Black socks are trendy right now and they go with the black shoes.
