Advent Season

We are in the hight of Advent Season now. My family lit the Peace candle yesterday morning at church. It was a special way for us to start this Christmas week.

OUTFIT This blouse has plenty of Christmas Spirit with this pattern of stars on red silk. Black slacks and heels finish this polished look. Dress it up even more with a layer of 3 gold necklaces.

Rockin’ Around

Dress up in all stripes this Christmas. I found inspiration for this from a fashion blog I’ve just discovered— Atlantic-Pacific. She has an eye for fashion and wears combos I would never dream of, like this all stripes outfit.

OUTFIT It works because the stripes are the same width and have one color in common - black. I’m feeling like Elvis in Jail House Rock. LOL. Get your party on with this chic uptown look.

Country Christmas

Minty Fresh

Coin Necklace

You can create a unique necklace with silver and gold coins. I have collected these three over the years, all given to me by by Mother. I put them all on the same chain for a unique look.

OUTFIT Black leggings help show off tall brown boots. It’s one of my favorite combos for Fall. Mixing Silver and Gold jewelry looks chic with this neutral palette of chambray and white.

Pink Runner

Get ready to run in this bubble gum pink wind breaker. Cars will for sure see you in this! I like the zipper pocket on the upper front, great for key or your phone. Get motivated with some cute running gear and get out there!

OUTFIT Pink & Black is a great color combo. Grey mixes well. This grey shirt features thumb holes to keep your shirt in place and keeps your hands warmer too. Black socks are trending now and I think they look great with my black/pink running shoes.

Blue Moon

Warm up with a knit scarf. This one was mailed to me as a surprise from a dear friend. I love to wear blue and this jewel tone works with my complexion. She knows me so well. Thanks Kim!

OUTFIT The scarf was my starting point for this look. I like the way blue & black look together, so my short black peacoat was perfect. I had this plaid button down the same color as the scarf. I like how it peeks out at the necklace and hemline of the jacket. Throw on my favorite pair of jeans and black heels. Now, how about that Blue Moon beer?

Scarf Smitten

Cozy up with a scarf this holiday season. They make great gifts too. Pick ones with colors that you wear often, so that you can easily work it into your wardrobe.

Modern Art

I was instantly drawn to this dress. It reminds me of Picasso. The lines are interesting and I love the colors. It’s great for the office and helps spark my creativity.

It’s Iron Bowl Saturday. Who are you for—Alabama or Auburn? In Alabama you are asked to choose a side almost immediately. Me - I’m for Auburn. I grew up an Alabama fan, but that all changed when I went to Auburn for my college degree. Now, I’m WAR EAGLE for life!

OUTFIT Nothing says preppy like a striped sweater around your shoulders. Tennis anyone? These orange & blue Toms are too cute and a must have for me. I’m ready for the game in my head to toe school girl prep. GO TIGERS!

Outdoor Shopping Adventure

Happy Thanksgiving! My idea of a fun outdoor adventure is an outdoor shopping mall! Now that Black Friday starts on Thursday night, shoppers are leaving the dinner table to grab deals. The most important part of Black Friday shopping are your shoes. Go comfortable or just stay home. I’m ready for an all night adventure with these riding boots.

OUTFIT This plaid flannel top is crazy cool with navy, mint and green. Some of my favorite colors! Works great with green jeans, a jean jacket and mint necklace. Matching boots and cross body bag finish the look.

Singing in the Rain

Keep your spirits up on a gloomy day with a pair of cute rain boots and a fun umbrella. You’ll be singing in the rain.

OUTFIT Black rain boots and black leggings keep you nice and dry. Mix up patterns like a big bold plaid and small stripes. My umbrella has a fun logo pattern, that works with the black/white color scheme. I like the little bit of purple that the scarf adds to my outfit too.

Graphic Girl

Go graphic with a cool sweatshirt. Being a Graphic Designer/Art Director gives me a creative outlet at work. I also enjoy being creative with my clothes and most everything else in life. 

OUTFIT This sweatshirt caught my eye and I love the message. It’s super soft and comfortable. I added a little leopard print with the shirt underneath. Cream white jeans go great along with some black heels. I’m ready to get down to business and design something fabulous!

San Francisco

Step into Prep

Preppy Plaid is so IN right now. You can easily add some plaid with a cozy scarf this Fall.

OUTFIT Let your plaid stand out by going monotone with the rest of your outfit. I paired it with blue jeans and a button down the same color. Add some colored kicks for a little pop of color. I pulled out the red in the scarf with my red shoes to help tie it together.

It’s Veterans Day! A time to honor all those who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. Thank You!

Mural, mural on the wall. Who’s the finest of them all? I spotted this mural and had to snap a photo in front of it. It has a foxy lady in it. I can relate. LOL.

So I like nice things, who doesn’t? I like a purse that won’t tare up and still looks nice after carrying it every day for a year. The saying is true...“You get what you pay for.” So splurge on quality items every now and then.
