Black Cat

I feel fierce in all black with a touch of leopard print. This silk top has black polka dot details which play off nicely with the spotted belt.

OUTFIT Go all black with just a little color, it will stand out that much more. I added gold details to play off the gold buttons in the top & in the belt.

Game Day

Football season is still going strong and so are my orange and blue outfits. College football and tailgating in the South-gotta love it.

Girls Night Out

Hiking Trip

Yesterday my family set out for the highest point in Alabama, Mt. Cheaha. Beautiful scenic views, lots of hiking trails to explore and good food at the restaurant too. Take a que from nature and wear earth tones on your hike. 

OUTFIT I hit the trails with my old hiking boots from high school. Timberlands were so cool back then. We would wear boot cut jeans or just cut the bottoms up the side to fit over our timberlands. Today’s fashion is pairing them with leggings and socks. Lots of layers are key, since the days are warm and the nights are cool.

Gray or Grey

Is is GREY or GRAY? As a matter of fact: both spellings are correct. GRAY is used in the US and GREY is used in UK. However you spell it, Gray is a great color to wear—here or there.

OUTFIT Military jackets are so hip right now. Most come in green, but I’m drawn to this grey one. Pair it with the super hot stripes trend and a pair of jeans and you’ve got a happening outfit. Some grey ballet flats are a nice touch and help tie the outfit together. This St. Christopher necklace has a bit of a dog tag feel which works great with the jacket.

De-stress

What better way to De-Stress than to hit the beach. That’s exactly what I did this Columbus Day weekend in some distressed threads.

OUTFIT Graphic tees are cool and I’m loving this one with the Eiffel Tower on it. Dreaming of Paris and sipping a latte at the cafe. Distressed jeans (holes and all) are happening right now. It’s part of that 90s grunge movement with a twist—instead of baggy grunge it’s skinny grunge.

Monogram

Monogrammed purses is a trend I’m seeing this year. I decided to brake out this one I got for Christmas a few years ago and plan an outfit around it. Inspiration: black & gold with faux fur trim. 

OUTFIT A gold sweater with a black blazer brings the colors together. Add some shiny jewelry for a touch of luxury that complement the fur trim. Nude pumps complete the look—elegant and a bit eccentric.

Animal Instincts

My friend and co-worker, Kim, has incredible style. Today she is looking fierce in this silk leopard print dress. She also has a flair for hair with her tight, sleek bun. It’s a very polished and professional look.

OUTFIT This dress has great detailing with gold buttons and black trim. Her ballet flats and bag are both black with gold hardware that ties the outfit together. And you gotta have oversized shades of course and some bling earrings that set it off.

Graphic Tee + Leopard Print + Big Jewelry = Rocking Outfit! This is a fun causal look that can carry you right into Fall and to your next concert. 

OUTFIT Olive drawstring pants are so comfy, I could live in these. Mix them with some leopard pumps for a wild look. This bag is crazy fun too, fluffy feathers make me feel like a rock star!

Floral Statement

What a beautiful day! The weather is perfect and the flowers downtown are blooming. I just had to “Stop and Smell the Roses” today. I love bright bold colors and after the Auburn win last night, it’s a great day for orange & blue.

OUTFIT This bright blue floral statement necklace caught my eye, and then when I saw it was on sale! Well, that was that! No surprise I already had a bright blue trench coat that matches the necklace and an orange dress that contrast the blue and looks great.

A cold front has come through and temps are in the 40s. I’m staying cozy with a leopard scarf and these cute suede tassel loafers.

Classic Trench

It’s chic, timeless, and you instantly look polished when you put it on. I’ve reached a point in my life where I’m thinking about purchasing investment pieces that will carry me into the next 10 years. This khaki trench was on my must-have list.

OUTFIT When purchasing an investment piece, you can’t go wrong with the classics. Picking items that will never go out of style and look just a current in this decade as the next. This short trench has a belt that simply ties at the waist, big black buttons and a silk lining.  It looks great with black pants and nude pumps.
