Artsy Fartsy

I love art. So when my mom sees paintings or pottery, she thinks of me. She found this oyster necklace made from clay, that is "sealed with a fish" A small fishy kiss mark on the underside of the pendent marks the artist signature. One of a kind.

OUTFIT Leggings and leg warmers go together like peanut butter and jelly. I enjoying wearing them in the Winter. With the art necklace & my glasses on, you could say this look is a little artsy fartsy.

A Whale of a Time

This reversible rain coat has a fun whale pattern on one side and solid navy on the other. Growing up, I remember my older sister wearing this when we would move cows from one field to the next. She got it when she was a teenager, so it’s probably 25-30 years old. Others have asked me where I got it—because they use to have one just like it when they were younger. I’ve always loved it and snagged it as my own 15-20 years ago. I’ll never get rid of it and still enjoy wearing it on rainy days.

OUTFIT A striped dress and rain boots with this coat looks perfectly put together today as it would have then. When purchasing a classic you love, buy good quality pieces.

Plaid Bag

Sport a plaid bag for a casual weekend look. Wear solid colors that pick up a few colors from the plaid to make it work. This way your fun bag can stand out.

OUTFIT I went with a blue base, like the bag—jeans and a button down. Then added a gray sweater and classic off white tennis shoes. Great look for a day out shopping or the basketball court watching the kids play.

Ugg Boots

When the temps are below freezing keep those toes warm with furry boots. These classic tall Ugg boots are lined with real sheep fur. They are so comfy cozy, it’s like wearing house shoes outside. I’m loving my pair in Chestnut.

OUTFIT A classic button down oxford under a bright orange sweater keeps you layered and warm. Pair Ugg boots with leggings or skinny jeans on cold days.

Lumberjack

Cozy up with an oversized blanket scarf. I adore this red on my husband got me for Christmas. It’s great for this Winter blast of cold air coming in.

OUTFIT Mix plaid & stripes for a cool look and play up the plaid with some duck boots. The lumberjack trend is in full swing with all this snow and ice up North. Layer up your boots with thick socks or leg warmers. Stay warm, but look cool.

Today is a PJ Day! I’m staying inside, drinking my coffee and wearing my satin PJs all day. How luxurious can you get?

The Bold & The Beautiful

Today Mrs. Brenda wore this fabulous geometric black & white number that looked amazing on her. The bold pattern and red heels caught my eye right away. Brenda, you look beautiful! You always do.

OUTFIT The pattern changes slightly at the waist, drawing attention to her shrinking waist line. Red pumps are such a great piece to have in your wardrobe. These patent leather ones add a pop of color and fun to this look.

Winter Warmth

Cozy up on Winter weekends with lots of layers. Like a fleece jacket, infinity scarf and toasty fur boots. I got these Ugg Boots recently and there is nothing like them. They are so comfortable, it’s like wearing house shoes 24/7. They are my flip flops of Winter.

OUTFIT Black and brown are always a good color combo for any season. Match your boots with your scarf to help pull it look together. A leopard scarf is a MUST HAVE in my closet. It goes with so many things and adds personality to your look.

Chic Week

Black & White is always chic and this color combo is not going anywhere is 2015.

OUTFIT White jeans in the Winter is so chic. Add a black & white striped top and a dark wash jean jacket for added coolness. Heels, belt and a bling necklace add a little sparkle.

Black, White, & Red All Over

What is Black, White, and Red all over? No, not a newspaper... it’s today’s outfit! LOL. This casual outfit is great for any occasion: church, shopping, work, weekend. It’s quickly becoming one of my favorites.

OUTFIT A big red tote really sets off this whole look. It’s not red all over, but just a little red goes a long way. Try using a red bag as a accent for a black & white outfit.
